GR Silver Mining (TSX-V:GRSL) Ltd has posted drill results from new areas of exploration at its 432 square kilometre (km2) Plomosas project in Mexico, which underlines the future potential of the project.
The work focused on new areas at El Saltito, Las Cuevas and Las Teresas, as well as the previously reported Loma Dorada vein system.
Assays showed high-grade gold close to the surface and the potential to extend mineralization along strike from existing resource areas.
"Our primary focus remains on delivering updated mineral resource estimates for the San Marcial and Plomosas Mine Areas in Q1|23," said GR Silver's CEO Eric Zaunscherb in a statement.
"We cannot, however, ignore the rich potential of the wholly-owned, 432 km2 Plomosas Project in its entirety, with several strong regional, northwest-trending structures that remain untested over a combined 75 km strike length. The results released today are an indicator of the potential of the project's pipeline targets, which we will reveal going forward," he added.

At the Loma Dorada area, the latest results from the 1 km along strike extension to the north of the San Juan/La Colorada vein system hit high-grade gold-silver typical of epithermal veins. One hole hit 5.2 metres (m) at 4.52 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 56 g/t silver from 103.5m depth, including an intercept of 1.3m at 10.17 g/t gold and 340 g/t silver.
At El Saltito, shallow drilling results revealed narrow high-grade gold-rich epithermal veining at the southern extension of the 1.5 km long El Saltito vein system. One hole hit 0.5m at 30.09 g/t gold from 203.5m depth.
That was the most south-eastern hole in the area, indicating the potential for additional high-grade gold mineralization further to the south-east.
Other drill highlights include 0.9m at 0.38 g/t gold and 459 g/t silver, and 3.5m at 1.21 g/t gold and 67 g/t silver, including 0.4m at 9.44 g/t gold and 394 g/t silver.
GR also noted that silver mineralization at Las Cuevas supported the potential for an along-strike extension of the silver mineralized system up to 1.5 km to the north-west of the NI 43-101 resource at the Plomosas mine area.
Recent gold-silver-rich drill results indicate the presence of low sulphidation epithermal veining in multiple areas of the Plomosas project, which will likely be the subject of additional drilling in 2022.
GR Silver Mining is a Mexico-focused junior explorer engaged in cost-effective silver-gold resource expansion on its wholly-owned assets, which sit on the eastern edge of the Rosario mining district, in the southeast of Sinaloa state, Mexico.
