Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE) said it started a new drilling programme at the combined Eclipse-Gindalbie gold project in Western Australia.
The reverse circulation drilling campaign, consisting of more than 3,290 metres of drilling across 26 holes, will target high-grade mineralisation.
It will focus on the most prospective targets within the project, including Homeward Bound where previous results included 5 metres (m) at 8.99 grammes a tonne (g/t) gold, including 1m at 40.90 g/t; 3m at 8.96 g/t gold, including 2m at 13.28 g/t; and 3m at 9.88 g/t gold.
“The previous drilling at Homeward Bound produced very high grades and we also encountered significant gold mineralisation at depth below the small open pit at Bud's Find and a 3m wide mineralised lode was identified at Laurel,” said managing director Shaun Bunn.
The company plans to drill 13 of the 26 holes in its June-July 2022 drilling programme at Homeward Bound.
