BAE Systems PLC (LSE:BA.) won a US$699mln contract from the US Department of Defense to provide services to its Supercomputing Resource Centers.
The FTSE 100 group's Maryland based BAE Technology Solutions & Services arm was awarded the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide operations, maintenance, and management services for high-performance computer users.
BAE, which beat three other competitive bids, has been given an estimated completion date of June 2027, according to an announcement from the US DoD yesterday.
