Chesapeake Financial Shares Inc, the parent company of Chesapeake Bank, announced in its second-quarter shareholder letter that EVP of Retail Services Dianne Hall is retiring after 42 years with the company, among other news.
Hall “etched customer focus into every area of Chesapeake Bank,” the company said. A succession plan is in place.
Hall helped Chesapeake make American Banker’s list of the top 200 community banks for fifteen consecutive years. The list, based on return on equity, placed Chesapeake Bank at 130 in 2021.

Additionally, the company said that its second-quarter dividend is $0.14 per share, payable on or by Wednesday.
The shareholder mailer also included a quarterly investor relations report prepared by Equity Research Services and dated May 20. The firm projected that Chesapeake will earn $13.1 million, or $2.78 per share, in 2022.
Founded in 1900, Chesapeake Bank is a lender to small businesses. Headquartered in Kilmarnock, Virginia, it operates 16 community banks in the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, Williamsburg and Richmond region.
