Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has the multi-stage hydraulic stimulation underway on the Flames 3-10-1S-3W WXH1 Well, its third well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.
As operations proceed on schedule, safely and without incident, Producers Service Corp. (PSC) has pumped the first few stages in line with the completion design for this well.
Reach of the stages will be treated individually before moving onto the next stage, beginning at the toe of the well.
Strong results to date
Managing director David Prentice said: “We are very pleased to provide this update on current operations on our Flames Well, the third and final well in our SWISH AOI HBP program.
“The team is extremely excited to see the potential of the Woodford Shale realised within this DSU, given the strong results to date from offsetting wells, including the Courbet Well, which is just three miles south of the Flames DSU.”

About Flames Well
Flames Well is operated by Black Mesa Energy, LLC, a controlled subsidiary of Brookside, and was drilled by Kenai Drilling Company in Carter County, Oklahoma.
The well was drilled as a full-length horizontal well targeting the Woodford Formation at an average depth of ~7,800 feet.
It was drilled to a total measured depth of ~18,140 feet and was cased with production tubing to be perforated and treated to allow production of oil and rich gas.
Completion operations continue
The ‘plug and perforate’ completion operations continue on the Flames Well and Brookside anticipates that this part of the completion operations will conclude late next week.
“We are looking forward to keeping shareholders updated as these operations progress and also providing an update on the continuing successful flow back operations on our Rangers Well,” Prentice added.
