Aurion Resources (TSX-V:AU) Ltd has revealed new drill results from the Helmi discovery in northern Finland that showcased high-grade gold mineralization.
Scout drilling at the project intersected high-grade gold mineralization of 39.40 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 1.40 metres (m) at a new zone of gold mineralization located 900m northwest of the Helmi discovery, according to Aurion.
Highlights from drilling at Helmi include 2.44 g/t gold over 43.45m; 1.44 g/t gold over 67.20 m; 1.46 g/t gold Au over 39m; 1.57 g/t gold over 31.85m, and 2.05 g/t gold over 18.30m.

Helmi is located approximately 1.3 kilometres west of the 3.95 million ounce Ikkari discovery made by Rupert Resources.
Aurion and its joint venture partner B2Gold Corp drilled a total of 29 holes, or 6,552m, at Helmi and nearby target areas during its winter drill program between February and April 2022. The program was designed to test the continuity of gold mineralization encountered in the maiden drill program as well as test additional targets to the north and northwest of Helmi.

"Drilling along the 8 kilometre trend, defined from the west by our early-stage Kutuvuoma prospect to the eastern extent of Rupert's Ikkari discovery, continues to intersect impressive widths and grades.”
Talikka told investors that the company saw evidence of gold-copper mineralization further north and west, which may represent a separate mineralizing system.
“The scale of this opportunity begins to resemble that of globally significant gold camps and has yet to be fully defined,” Talikka added.
A summer drilling program is in progress at the property.
