Supply@ME Capital PLC (LSE:SYME) appointed ESG (environmental, social and governance) specialist Andrew Thomas as non-executive director.
Thomas will take up the role at the conclusion of the fintech company's annual general meeting on 30 June, it said, alongside recently appointed non-executive chairman Albert Ganyushin.
His 20-plus years’ experience in business advisory roles has included a focus on onshore and offshore fund structuring and oversight, particularly in relation to tax and regulatory issues.
SYME highlighted his experience in mitigating ESG risks while helping organisations to maximise ESG opportunities.
Thomas said he was “drawn to [SYME’s] unique business model and great potential”.
Alessandro Zamboni, the company’s chief executive, added: “We continue to further strengthen the Supply@ME Board and are looking forward to welcoming Andrew to the Company. We are confident that his broad financial experience and specialist funds expertise make him very well suited to helping guide the company as we move into the next stage of growth.”
