Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has started assembling its production facilities at the Flames oil and gas operation in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin.
Construction operations are proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident, and the energy stock has completed all necessary surface facilities at the Flames well.
Key infrastructure includes a connection to a gas sales line, meaning the well — the third in Brookside’s held-by-production program — is now ready for completion.
Now, engineering consultant PSC has begun mobilising its equipment and operating crew, with operations expected to commence shortly.
Eager to start production in strong market
Brookside’s executive general manager of commercial operations Gracjan Lambert said: “We are all very keen and excited to complete our third big well, our longest lateral to date at ~10,000 feet, and to start production in a very strong oil and gas commodity market.
“With our third well online, we will have completed our HBP program, a significant milestone for the company and a great foundation for our next stage of growth.”
The story so far
Back in March, Brookside officially spudded the Flames well — its third high-impact target within the SWISH AOI, a key exploration address in the Anadarko Basin.
The milestone came after Brookside rigged up and tested the Kenai 18 drill in April — the same rig that completed its high-impact Rangers well in just 31 days.
At the time, managing director David Prentice said: “It is very pleasing to see operations proceeding so promptly on this well, the final well in our held-by-production program in the SWISH AOI.
“Operationally, this is the busiest period in our company’s history with simultaneous operations on two of our 'core of the core' DSUs in southern SCOOP; spudding the Flames well and completing the Rangers Well for production at the same time.
“We are looking forward to keeping our shareholders and investors up to date over the coming weeks and months as we see these operations successfully concluded and those efforts turned into oil and gas sales.”
Brookside’s Flames drill program is fully funded to completion after the company picked up a $7.5 million funding runway from CPS Capital Group earlier this year.
