Great Western Mining Corp PLC said its 2022 drilling campaign has started well and is making excellent progress, but that results were being delayed by overworked laboratories in Nevada.
It said the timing of the assay results cannot be firmed up at this stage.
A further three holes, totalling 488 metres, were completed in the Southern Alteration Zone at the Rock House group of prospects and showed positive indicators of alteration.
The reverse circulation (RC) rig is now at the Olympic gold project at Trafalgar Hill and at the OMCO mine site, to follow up on the positive 2021 drill campaign.
While the first drilling at the Mineral Jackpot properties will follow, made possible with a conventional RC rig following the recently completed 14 km road construction and upgrade.

“We are very pleased to be in a position for the first time to drill Mineral Jackpot, made up of five historic gold and silver mines which have never before been explored using modern techniques,” said chairman Brian Hall.
