Bitcoin and Ethereum edge higher echoing wider markets

76 of the leading 100 coins were posting gains, led by Cardano and Chainlink

Bitcoin and Ethereum advanced Wednesday, reversing some of yesterday's losses, as US and European stock markets made cautious gains.

The largest crypto by market value rose 3.2% to US$30,464 while smaller peer Ethereum increased 2.8% to US$1,802.

Bitcoin is languishing more than 55% below its all-time high in November with Ethereum down more over 60% as the war in Ukraine and rising inflation prompt investors to dump riskier assets.

Bitcoin has flirted with its US$30,000 support level for around a month.

76 of the top 100 coins were trading in the green.

Amongst the big-hitters, Cardano and Chainlink were the most notable climbers, rising 10% and 11% respectively.

Tezos was the biggest loser of the day, falling 6.0%.
