AuTECO Minerals Ltd (ASX:AUT, OTC:MNXMF) has made several senior management appointments aimed at accelerating the growth and development of its asset portfolio, led by the rapidly growing and high-grade Pickle Crow Gold Project in Canada.
The new appointments ensure AuTECO has the experience and skills to ensure it can maximise the opportunity stemming from its exploration success.
New CEO and CFO
New CEO Darren Cooke is currently AuTECO’s chief operating officer, having joined the company from Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX:NST) in February 2021.
Senior finance professional William Nguyen assumes the role of chief financial officer and joint company secretary. A chartered accountant with more than 13 years of experience in the mining industry, he joins AuTECO after a distinguished career with Australian gold producer Regis Resources Limited.
Nguyen has been involved in the accounting and financial management across exploration activities, development projects and operating assets.
Environmental permitting specialist
Environment and community relations specialist Tabatha LeBlanc has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president – Environment and Community.
LeBlanc has more than 20 years of experience in mining-related projects in Canada and joins AuTECO from Canadian company Generation Mining (CSE:GENM) Ltd, where she successfully led the permitting and the consultation processes for the Marathon Palladium-Copper Project in Ontario.
Specialising in environmental management and community liaison, LeBlanc holds a Bachelor of Science with double major in Environmental Science and Anthropology.
Geologist with diverse experience
Juan Gutierrez has been appointed group chief geologist. Gutierrez is a highly experienced geologist with more than 16 years of experience in a diverse range of mining projects globally.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in geology in addition to a post-graduate qualification in geostatistics and joins AuTECO after more than six years with Northern Star Resources, where he played a key role in progressing the Jundee and Bronzewing operations.
