Québec Nickel Corp has reported new assay results from two holes at its Ducros property in Québec sowing new intersects.
The company said drill holes QDG-22-10 and QDG-22-11 were completed at the Fortin Sill target to follow up on the recent assay results returned from hole QDG-22-09, which cored a 31-meter intercept averaging 0.37% nickel, 0.40% copper, 176 parts per million (ppm) cobalt and 0.55 grams per ton (G/t) platinum-palladium-gold from 10 to 41 meters of depth, the company said in a statement.
It added that Hole QDG-22-10 was drilled from the same location and at the same azimuth as hole QDG-22-09 but at a dip of -60 degrees rather than -45 degrees. That returned 0.36% nickel, 0.41% copper, 167 ppm cobalt and 0.95 g/t platinum-palladium-gold over a 29-meter core length from 9 to 38 meters of depth.

That intersection includes higher-grade subintervals of 0.70% nickel, 0.79% copper, 271 ppm cobalt and 1.71 g/t platinum-palladium-gold over 9 meters, as well as 0.90% nickel, 1.01% copper, 324 ppm cobalt and 2.39 g/t platinum-palladium-gold over a 4-meter core length, the company noted.
Meanwhile, hole QDG-22-11 was drilled at a -90 degree dip at the same set-up as the other holes and returned 0.33% nickel, 0.32% copper, 170 ppm cobalt and 0.57 g/t platinum-palladium-gold over a 32.67-meter core length from 15.33 to 48 meters of depth. This includes a higher-grade 6-meter subinterval of 0.62% nickel, 0.60% copper, 256 ppm cobalt and 1.01 g/t platinum-palladium-gold.
Looking ahead, additional holes are being drilled from the same set-up as QDG-22-09, 10 & 11 to determine the continuity of the mineralization off-section, the company said. Québec Nickel has submitted an additional drilling permit application to the Québec Government that, when received, will allow for the creation of multiple new access trails and drilling pads adjacent to and along the interpreted strike of the target.
Vision 4K, based in Québec City, has been retained to complete a 250 line-kilometer UAV magnetic survey over the Fortin Sill target area, the company added.
In total, the company's Ducros property consists of 280 contiguous mining claims covering 15,147 hectares within the eastern portion of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Quebec.
Elsewhere, Québec Nickel will be exhibiting at PDAC 2022, held June 13 to 15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. The company will be located at booth 3239 at the investor exchange in the south building of the convention center.
