Aftermath Silver reveals new batch of high-grade silver and copper assays from Berenguela project in Peru

The company revealed another 10 holes from the Peru-based project, with highlights of 18.9 metres at 1,162 grams per ton (g/t) silver and 1.12% copper in one hole

Aftermath Silver (TSX-V:AAG) Ltd has described new, high grade silver and copper assays from its Berenguela project as “very encouraging” for a planned resource estimate.

The company revealed another 10 holes from the Peru-based project, with highlights of 18.9 metres at 1,162 grams per ton (g/t) silver and 1.12% copper in one hole.

Another hole returned 20 metres at 268 g/t silver and 2.95% copper, while yet another reported 97.60 metres of mineralization from surface at 188 g/t silver and 1.70% copper.

The latest batch of results are from Aftermath's twinning of historic reverse circulation (RC) holes. Four of the holes intercepted silver-copper mineralization from surface, while the majority cut silver-copper mineralization within 10 metres of surface.

Drilling and sampling of this year's core is now complete, Aftermath CEO Ralph Rushton said in a statement, and the company has submitted 63 holes to the assay lab.

“We continue to see select intervals with extremely high silver grades, which correlate with elevated copper and manganese grades,” Rushton said.

Rushton told investors that the next few batches of holes are going to be “particularly important” for the planned resource estimate as they mostly twinned historic RC holes that included poor sample recovery or encountered extensive voids.

Aftermath has now recovered full core intersections, where the historic RC program returned no samples, according to Rushton.

“Whilst it is still very early days, preliminary grade and intercept comparisons on this subset of twinned holes are very encouraging as we achieved parity or, in some cases, bettered the historic 2004/5 results,” the CEO added. “The new holes will be incorporated into the database we are compiling for our resource estimate, replacing their historic twin RC holes."

Vancouver-based Aftermath has a portfolio of precious metals project in the Americas.
