Radiopharm Theranostics Ltd (ASX:RAD) has welcomed Vittorio Puppo to the newly created role of chief operating officer (COO), based in New York City. The position is effective immediately.
Puppo has 30 years of experience in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices industry, having held positions of increased responsibilities in large and mid-cap companies, and is expected to be a great asset for RAD, which is developing a world-class platform of radiopharmaceutical products for both diagnostic and therapeutic uses.
The new COO has worked extensively in Europe and the US and brings with him a broad international perspective and deep knowledge in the radiopharmaceutical sector.
Vittorio Puppo is RAD's newly appointed COO.
Vast experience
Puppo recently held the position of chief marketing officer at Italy-based Bracco Imaging, a world leader in diagnostics and before that successfully ran the Bracco North American operations.
Before joining Bracco, Puppo managed businesses in Europe and Asia for Accuray, Covidien and Mallinckrodt, leading each of his teams to strong results above company expectations.
He has also worked for Amersham in various leadership roles and served as board member of Life Sciences Capital, a venture capital fund that was one of the lead investors in Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA), right through to its successful IPO.
He also assisted several start-ups in diagnostics and therapeutics.
“Having known Vittorio from our previous experiences in the sector and with AAA, I’m very confident in the expertise and capability he will bring to Radiopharm,” Radiopharm’s CEO and managing director Riccardo Canevari said.
“His decision to join RAD attests to the quality of the technology portfolio we’ve built, the advanced development stage of our assets and the world-class team we’ve secured since the IPO of the company.”
