Great Atlantic Resources Corp (TSX-V:GR) said it has received assays for drill samples from its fall 2021 diamond drilling program at the Otter Brook gold showing in the east of its Golden Promise gold project in Newfoundland.
The assays come from the first nine holes of the 12-hole program, with four holes exceeding 1 gram per ton (g/t) gold, including 4.95 g/t over 0.50 metres (m) in one hole.
The company said its management interpret "at least four gold-bearing veins/structures to have been intersected during the drilling program based on depths and locations of the intersections".

Other results included 2.34 g/t gold over 0.34m from 179.5m depth in another hole and 0.475 g/t gold over 0.38m from 68.82m depth in the same hole.
Gold assays are pending for drill core samples from the final three holes, said the firm, which added that when all gold assays and multi-element analysis have been received, the company will evaluate all data in planning further work in this region of the project.
