NCC says new CEO will start a few weeks earlier than previously expected

Existing CEO Adam Palser will stick around to ensure an orderly handover

NCC Group PLC (LSE:NCC), the cyber security and resilience adviser, said Mike Maddison will take over as chief executive a bit sooner than previously indicated.

Maddison was previously expected to begin the role on 1 August but has been given permission by his current employer to transfer on 7 July.

As previously announced, Adam Palser will remain as chief executive until mid-June and will remain available to support an orderly handover. In the interim period, Chris Stone, the non-executive chair will become the executive chair.

Shares in NCC nudged up 0.7% to 218p on the news.
