Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR) has continued its strong run of spodumene-bearing pegmatite results at Mavis Lake Lithium Project in Canada, striking more visual spodumene in 20 of 21 holes drilled at the Pegmatite 6 zone.
The company has now completed 2,500 metres of the inaugural 5,000-metre program, with 28 more holes to be drilled. Visual results of note from this latest round of drilling include:
- 9.8 metres of about 14% silver-white, fine to medium spodumene laths hosted from 146.75 metres of pegmatite;
- 8.45 metres of about 17% silver-white, fine to medium spodumene laths hosted from 30.5 metres of pegmatite;
- 4.55 metres of about 10% white-grey, fine to large spodumene laths hosted from 114.1 metres of pegmatite;
- 4.45 metres of about 11% white-grey, fine to large spodumene laths hosted from 122.45 metres of pegmatite;
- 2.95 metres of less than 5% white-grey, fine to large spodumene laths hosted from 87.25 metres of pegmatite; and
- 2.9 metres of about 13% white-grey, fine to large spodumene laths hosted from 53.45 metres of pegmatite.
Samples and core from completed drill holes have been sent for analysis, with results expected in due course.
Exploration work has identified 28 new targets, with 11 of high priority to be investigated first. Critical is now working to extend this inaugural drilling campaign to 10,000 metres.
Managing director visits site
Managing director Alex Biggs met with contractors and employees conducting drilling operations at the Mavis Lake Project between May 24 and 27.
The company hosted the Ontario Geological Survey, which is interested in assisting with exploration targeting and establishing the geological regional relevance of the mineralisation at Mavis Lake.
