Los Andes Copper says drilling at its Vizcachitas copper project in Chile shows limits of the deposit yet to be determined

The results included 331 metres (m) grading 0.63% copper equivalent on the largely undrilled northeastern side of the deposit and a 122m grading 0.59% copper equivalent on the western edge of the deposit

Los Andes Copper Ltd (TSX-V:LA) has reported that drilling at its Vizcachitas copper project in Chile has uncovered additional copper intercepts expanding the resource potential of the Tier 1 large, advanced copper deposit.

The results include 331 metres (m) grading 0.63% copper equivalent on the largely undrilled northeastern side of the deposit and 122m grading 0.59% copper equivalent on the western edge of the deposit.

The company said the drill results would be included in the new resource assessment of its pre-feasibility study for the project, which is targeted for 4Q, 2022.

Los Andes CEO R. Michael Jones noted that the drill results continue to show that the limits of the Vizcachitas copper deposit have not been determined.

“On the east, west and southern areas we have yet to close-off the deposit with drilling,” Jones said in a statement. “Our recent previously announced results of 152m of 1% copper equivalent in the south and the results announced today on the western and eastern sides, show that further drilling is required to determine the full scale of the deposit."

Additional drill assay results are expected in the coming weeks, the company added.

Based in Vancouver, Los Andes Copper is focused on developing its Vizcachitas copper-molybdenum porphyry project in Chile.
