Paul Cannon from Centamin talks through the gold miner’s latest sustainability report
Cannon explains to Proactive that key developments during 2021 included refreshed group-level ESG policies, appointing a senior leadership team to take these policies into standard operating practice and the establishment of a broader suite of sustainability plus ESG dashboard.
Centamin also brought in external consultants to help with issues such as tailings management, cyanide management, supply chain due diligence, health and safety, and greenhouse gas emissions.
