Albion Technology & General VCT PLC said its net asset value per share rose to 82.05p from 80.65p in the first quarter of 2022.

The company’s unaudited net asset value rose 1.74% during the quarter to £131.89mln.

During the quarter, the company added two companies to its investment portfolio, investing £546,000 in PerchPeek Limited, a digital relocation platform operator, and £107,000 in Regulatory Genome Development Limited, a provider of machine-readable structured regulatory content.

The venture capital trust also spent £3.43mln topping up existing investments in Black Swan Data, TransFICC, Canta Research, Seldon Technologies, Locum’s Nest, NuvoAir Holdings and Koru Kids.

On the divestment side, it realised a £4.1mln gain on the £5.1mln disposal of Credit Kudo; a £1.5mn gain on the £2.2mln sale of Phrase and a £1mln profit on the £1.5mln disposal of shares of MyMeds&Me.

During the first three months of the year, the company did not buy back any shares but it remains the board’s policy to buy back shares in the market when appropriate at around a 5% discount to net asset value, so far as market conditions and liquidity permit.
