Compumedics Ltd (ASX:CMP) has made several revenue and sales predictions for this financial year, forecasting an increase in sale orders taken of 8% from the 2021 financial year, to $38 million for this year, although revenue growth has been stymied by global supply issues, chip shortages and other pandemic-related factors.
The company projects it will net similar revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) growth to last year, forecasting about $35 million in revenue and an EBITDA of $2.6 million.
While Compumedics has yet to finalise the orders, it expects total sale orders to grow 19% for the year, and for operation cashflow to remain positive at about $9.2 million of held cash and unused banking facilities.
MEG and Somfit
As announced in January 2022, Compumedics secured a second MEG sale with Tianjin Normal University (TJNU), China for about $4.2 million, expected to be completed late in calendar year 2022.
The Magnetoencephalography, or MEG system, is designed to provide increased precision with fully integrated MEG “gold standard” brain analysis software CURRY™.
The company claims the system provides four to five orders of magnitude of temporal resolution (speed of brain functional or cognitive measures) over other traditional functional MRI, PET or other conventional imaging systems.
The first MEG system sale is in the second stage of installation at the Barrow Neurological Institute, subject to ongoing discussions with the Institute.
Somfit – a wearable device designed to collect physiological data to primarily diagnose sleep disorders – has also been progressing at several clinics and research trials as part of ongoing initial commercialisation activities.
Compumedics expects to provide further details to the market after June 30, and a detailed analysis and 2022 financial year numbers on or around August 18, 2022.
