CO2 GRO Inc (TSX-V:GROW, OTCQB:BLONF) and its Mexican sales partner have announced that a second technology trial using the former's technology is going ahead in the North American country.
The company and Rancho Nexo said the trial is at an anonymous customer's 5,500 square feet (sq ft) bell pepper greenhouse in the state of Querétaro.
The aim is to increase fruit yield, reduce the spread of pathogens such as powdery mildew, and reduce the overall cost per unit of production and lift margins.
"Commercial success at these two Mexican vegetable Trials with our partner Rancho Nexo should open the door to many other Mexican AMHPAC member vegetable growers trying our technology," said CO2 GRO's VP sales and strategic alliances Aaron Archibald in a statement.
"They represent 90% of Mexico's vegetable exports to the US and Canada."

On April 7 this year, CO2 GRO and Rancho Nexo announced the first Trial in Mexico for Bresca Hortalizas S.P.R. de R.L. in the latter's new greenhouse in the State of Puebla.
"Rancho Nexo is committed to bringing key technologies to Mexican Agri Business of which CO2 GRO's precision ag technology is integral," said Rancho Nexo's Matt Grant.
The company's technology creates a dissolved CO2 solution that is misted onto plants grown in greenhouses and protected grower facilities globally, providing growers with multiple significant benefits.
The firm says growers that cannot atmospherically enrich their facilities with CO2 (gassing) can now realize yield increases of up to 30% and up to a doubling of gross profits while suppressing the development of micro-pathogens such as E.coli and powdery mildew.
Greenhouses and indoor facilities that currently do employ CO2 gassing can save up to 90% on their CO2 consumption, thereby reducing their production costs and CO2 enrichment emissions.
