Richard Williams, the chief executive officer of Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF), tells Katie Pilbeam the company will get cracking immediately on preparations on the South Crofty tin project after its fundraising. “The first step for us will be to start work on the water treatment plant, which we will start today, and the plan is to try to get that completed by the end of this year and start dewatering the mine from early next year,” Williams revealed. In tandem with that, the company will be starting a drilling programme. The fundraising was backed by Vision Blue Resources, whose chief executive officer is Sir Mick Davis, who built Xstrata into one of the largest mining companies in the world. Williams said the support of Vision Blue was “a real endorsement of the quality of the project”.
