Goodbody Health Inc (AQSE:GBDY, CSE:GBDY, OTC:SCNNF) said it is launching a health ‘MOT’ test to be offered at its UK high street stores and via pharmacies, where customers will get results of diabetes and cholesterol tests “in minutes”.
Priced at £99, the company said the innovative tests determine a person's risk for developing cardiac health problems or diabetes over the next 10 years.
The offer will be trialled in a limited number of pharmacies and its own stores in Bath and Bristol, Goodbody said, before being rolled out to its nationwide distribution network of local pharmacies, supported by marketing materials and other activities to drive traffic and increase footfall.
The health check is being launched to coincide with Type 2 Diabetes prevention week, which is designed to highlight that one in 15 people in the UK has diabetes and around a million people who have type 2 diabetes have not yet been diagnosed.
