BCAL Diagnostics Ltd (ASX:BDX)'s Dr John Hurrell gives an overview of the company's vision: to champion the early diagnosis and intervention of breast cancer. Since forming in 2010, BCAL has been striving to address the issues surrounding early detection and provide a more accurate method of screening for breast cancer. Dr Hurrell says the company is working on the BCAL test, a lipid biomarker blood test that has the potential to be used for breast cancer prevention, screening and monitoring. BCAL has entered a clinical collaboration with RPA, Lifehouse and NSW BreastScreen to further validate the test in a real-world setting.
