Golden Rim Resources launches infill auger drilling at Bereko prospects of Kada Gold Project in Guinea

“Initial RC drilling results strongly suggest both areas could deliver satellite oxide gold resources we can add to our maiden 930,000-ounce gold mineral resource at Kada’s Massan Prospect," says MD Craig Mackay.

Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX:GMR) has initiated an infill auger drilling program at the Bereko gold prospects within Kada Gold Project in Guinea, following up bedrock oxide gold intersected in almost every reverse circulation (RC) hole drilled at Bereko and Bereko South.

The infill auger program will involve 2,000 metres of drilling in a 100-metre by 50-metre grid spacing over the Bereko prospects.

A first pass of wider, 200-metre spaced drilling revealed widespread anomalous gold within deeply weathered bedrock, hosted below shallow laterite rock cover along the 15-kilometre-long Kada Gold Corridor.

Potential for further resource growth

“We have hit significant bedrock oxide gold in almost every RC hole targeting the auger anomalies at the Bereko and Bereko South prospects within our Kada Gold Project,” Golden Rim managing director Craig Mackay said.

“Initial RC drilling results strongly suggest both areas could deliver satellite oxide gold resources we can add to our maiden 930,000-ounce gold mineral resource at Kada’s Massan Prospect.

“The initial auger drilling coverage at Kada was broadly spaced to allow for a large under-explored area to be covered quickly.

“Now, to help us identify the extent and trend of the auger gold anomalies, and provide the best chance of success with the planned follow-up RC drilling of the oxide gold zones at Bereko and Bereko South, we have commenced an infill auger drilling program.”

Golden Rim is particularly keen to test these zones of oxide gold mineralisation at the Bereko prospects, as previous RC drilling intersected results up to 11 metres at 6.3 g/t gold, 10 metres at 5.6 g/t and 27 metres at 1.2 g/t, while remaining open along strike and at depth.

The next RC program will begin once the auger drilling has concluded and an induced polarisation (IP) ground magnetics geophysical survey – currently underway – are complete.
