Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc has announced that it is planning an airborne VTEM Plus geophysical survey at its Lowney-Lac Edouard property south of the historical Lac Edouard nickel-copper-cobalt (Ni-Cu-Co) mine in Quebec to identify discrete conductive anomalies near the surface to guide its upcoming fieldwork program.

The company said the VTEM survey would be completed via helicopter in late June by airborne geophysical survey mapping, interpretation, and analysis company Geotech.

The property is of interest to the company’s technical team due to a significant regional gravity anomaly identified by a previous airborne SGL survey, its positive geological context, sediment lake samples that returned elevated nickel and copper, and its proximity to the past-producing Lac Edouard mine.

It is also bordered by several other large companies such as Rio Tinto Exploration Canada and Brunswick (NYSE:BC) Exploration Inc.

“The VTEM survey and fieldwork will help provide a better understanding of the area and helpfully lead to a drill program,” the company said.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works president Matt Halliday said the fact the company’s property had big players surrounding it showed that it was in the right place.

“Based on what we have so far, this property has great potential and fits within our objective to become an important supplier of battery metals material to the EV market,” Halliday said.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works is an exploration, development, technology, and environment leader in the prolific Northern Ontario silver-cobalt district.
