Gabriela Herculano, chief executive of iClima Earth, which is behind the iClima Global Decarbonisation Enablers UCITS ETF, joins Proactive London to talk about how she shares Elon Musk’s frustration with Tesla’s ejection from the S&P 500 ESG index.
She says the move by S&P is part of a wider shift toward use of scorecards attempting to quantify ESG rather than focusing on what companies are offering products and services that enable CO2e avoidance.
“We want to shift the narrative in ESG,” Herculano says, with the company’s indices and ETFs in connection with HANetf, “aiming to showcase the companies that are advancing in E issues S issues and G issues, we need to prove causation and not correlation.”
