Gratomic discovers possibly the largest graphite vein ever recorded at its Aukam project in Namibia

The graphite project developer said that hole AKD001 has intercepted vein graphite mineralization approximately 40 meters below the main adit

Gratomic Inc. (TSX-V:GRAT, OTCQX:CBULF) has provided an update on its planned 1,250-metre Diamond Drill campaign currently underway at its flagship Aukam graphite project in southern Namibia, close to the port city of Luderitz.

The Toronto-based graphite project developer said the drillholes are planned to intersect mineralization below the current mine adits.

The company said the first hole it has drilled this year, AKD001, is a twin hole of AKR026 which was drilled towards the end of 2021.

In a statement, Gratomic said that hole AKD001 has hit potentially the biggest graphite vein ever recorded at its Aukam project. Significantly, hole AKD001 has intercepted vein graphite mineralization approximately 40 meters below the main adit, noted the company.

The Aukam property covers a historical vein graphite mine that consists of five adits and an open pit. Exploration has demonstrated significant potential for expansion of the mineralization outside the old workings.

Gratomic has projects in Namibia, Brazil, and Canada, and is focused on becoming a leading global graphite supplier. It aims to secure a strong position in the electric vehicle (EV) battery supply chain.
