Buru Energy to farm out part of its L20-1 interest, ramp up CCS activity

Buru Energy Ltd (ASX:BRU)'s Eric Streitberg gives viewers an overview of the company's activity in WA's Carnarvon Basin. The energy stock has agreed to farm out part of its interest in the L20-1 petroleum application area to joint venture partner Mineral Resources, meaning MinRes will become operator and carry Buru through drilling the first two wells in the permit. Thanks to the move, Buru will have more time to focus on its Rafael conventional wet gas discovery. Streitberg also gave an update on the energy stock's carbon capture and storage (CCS) activity, which is designed to help the company reduce emissions and meet its climate targets. Nowadays, Buru is looking at ways it can adopt this carbon capture technology to meet the scale of its projects, so MinRes will help fund a feasibility study and enter a joint venture agreement to support these endeavours.
