ANGLE PLC (AIM:AGL, OTCQX:ANPCY)’s Parsortix liquid biopsy system will be the centrepiece of a major clinical study that could alter the way prostate cancer is treated.
Researchers from Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, will use the ANGLE technology to isolate and assess circulating tumour cells as a predictor of future disease recurrence.

In cohort 5, 10 healthy male subjects were given 2,000 milligrams intravenously, and demonstrated suitable tolerability for the independent safety committee to approve dosing the sixth cohort at 4,000 milligrams: an 80-fold increase from the 50 milligrams given to cohort 1.

"The results of the Special Meeting reflect very strong shareholder support for the investment by Vision Blue,” said chief executive Richard Williams.

Spectra Systems Corporation (AIM:SPSY, OTC:SCTQ) announced the resignation of chief financial officer Brian McLain, to pursue other business opportunities. "Brian has been an invaluable resource to the company and to me and on behalf of the board I thank him for all of his contribution to Spectra and wish him every success in future,” said chief executive Nabil Lawandy.
“We are confident we will attract highly qualified candidates and be successful in appointing a new chief financial officer in the very near term. A search for his successor is underway and we will make an appropriate announcement when that process concludes."
