MGC Pharmaceuticals Ltd (LSE:MXC, OTC:MGCLF, ASX:MXC)’s ArtemiC oral spray “bears great promise for COVID-19 patients”, according to a peer-reviewed paper assessing the results of a phase II study of the potential plant-based treatment.
The article assessing the output from a study of 50 people with the virus was carried in the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
It concluded that "ArtemiC curbed deterioration, possibly by limiting the cytokine storm of COVID-19, and bears great promise for COVID-19 patients, particularly in those with comorbidities”.
