Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX:GMR) has intersected shallow high-grade oxide gold from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Beroko and Bereko South satellite prospects at the Kada Gold Project in Guinea.
Notably, the West African gold explorer has identified these significant zones of additional oxide mineralisation predominantly along the 15-kilometre Kada Gold Corridor, outside its 930,000-ounce mineral resource estimate (MRE) area.
To date, assays have been received for six drill holes at Bereko and four holes at Bereko South, delivering strong intersections including:
- 10 metres at 5.6 g/t gold from 5 metres, including 2 metres at 18.9 g/t;
- 11 metres at 6.3 g/t from 43 metres, including 2 metres at 30.6 g/t; and
- 3 metres at 8.8 g/t from 64 metres.
Moving forward, Golden Rim will shortly kick off a 2,000-metre infill program at Kada, initially focusing on Bereko and Bereko South prospects.
Satellite oxide gold resources
Golden Rim managing director Craig Mackay said: “Results received to date from the first RC drilling at the Bereko and Bereko South prospects at Kada strongly suggest both areas will deliver satellite oxide gold resources we can add to our maiden 930,000-ounce gold mineral resource at Kada’s Massan Prospect.
“Drill testing of our bedrock auger gold anomalies at Kada has been highly successful and we eagerly await the assays from our first drilling at another three prospects along the Kada Gold Corridor - Sadan, Sadan South and Massan South - as well as at Sinin, which sits in a parallel gold corridor to the east.”

Golden Rim has completed an exploration RC drilling program comprising 57 holes for 5,426 metres at Kada, testing six new prospects and further drilling at the Massan prospect, which includes the MRE area.
The RC drilling was focused on testing multiple highly anomalous bedrock gold targets along and outside the 15-kilometre Kada Gold Corridor identified in Golden Rim’s auger drilling.
The company completed 13 holes at the Bereko prospect and four holes at the Bereko South prospects delivering significant results.
Notably, oxide gold zones at Bereko and Bereko South remain open to the north and south, and at depth.

What's next for Kada?
Assays remain pending for the final 36 holes, which include the first drilling for the Sadan, Sadan South, Massan South and Sinin prospects.
Given that RC exploration drilling has located gold zones beneath anomalous gold results obtained from first pass 200 x 50-metre auger drilling, a 2,000-metre infill program will shortly begin at Kada.
This infill drilling will be conducted at 100 x 50-metre spacing to refine the understanding of the trend of the gold anomalous zones.
Subsequently, the company will begin the next phase of RC drilling with the first infill holes to be drilled at Bereko and Bereko South prospects.
Golden Rim’s major IP and ground magnetics geophysical survey of Kada is ongoing and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
The company will use the results of the survey to plan further exploration at Kada during 2022, including planning additional drilling to follow up on the highly encouraging initial drilling results delivered at Bereko and Bereko South to date.
