Euro Manganese Inc (ASX:EMN, TSX-V:EMN, OTCQX:EUMNF) is preparing to complete the assembly of its demonstration plant following the shipment of demonstration plant modules needed to complete the build.
The first consignment was shipped on April 30, with the second and final module leaving Shanghai in China on Monday, May 16, bound by ocean freight for Hamburg in Germany.
Upon arrival in Germany, the consignments will be delivered to the Chvaletice Manganese Project site in the Czech Republic by rail. The modules are expected in June and July respectively, with assembly to begin on arrival.
Euro is targeting commissioning for September, with first delivery of samples to customers slated for the fourth quarter of 2022.
Chvaletice Manganese Project
Euro Manganese intends to supply manganese products to the European Union’s battery market from the Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic.
Chvaletice is a waste-to-value opportunity that involves reprocessing old tailings from a decommissioned mine to produce high-purity manganese products.
It’s not a mining project, but rather a waste recycling initiative that seeks to clean up the contaminated site and use the recovered manganese as a raw material for electric vehicle battery cathodes and other technical applications.
