GTI Resources prepares to drill 100,000 feet at Wyoming ISR uranium projects in July

GTR is following-up extensions of uranium mineralisation at the Thor ISR Project in Wyoming's Great Divide Basin with an extensive drilling campaign, and looking to explore prospective geological trends for mineralisation at the Wicket East

GTI Resources Ltd (ASX:GTR) is completing the approval process for 40,000 feet (12,192 metres) of follow-up drilling at the Thor in-situ recovery (ISR) Uranium Project in Wyoming and a further 60,000 feet (18,288 metres) at the nearby Wicket East, Teebo, Odin and Loki projects, targeting areas known to be prospective for ISR-amenable uranium.

The drilling program is expected to kick off at the Thor Project in July, with drill permitting and bonding processes well underway.

Exploration program overview

GTR is targeting economically viable, ISR-amenable uranium resources at its projects in Wyoming’s Great Divide Basin. Thor is the most advanced of these, holding potentially economically viable mineralisation based on widths, grades and depth of mineralisation.

Wyoming ISR uranium projects.

Drilling at Thor will target extensions of the 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) of mineralised fold front already identified to be prospective for uranium at the project. Drilling will focus on the north-eastern section of the project.

Drilling at Wicket East is designed to explore a projected mineralised trend extending from the southern boundary of the Lost Soldier deposit for about 3 miles (4.8 kilometres), defined by historic drilling information similar to data used to plan drilling at Thor.

At the Odin, Loki and Teebo projects east of the Antelope Project, GTR will again seek to explore mineralised trends over a combined strike length of about 5 miles (8 kilometres), again defined by historical drilling information.

In addition to this drilling campaign, GTR is engaged in due diligence for the acquisition of 13,800 acres (55.8 square kilometres) of claims at Green Mountain, a project in Wyoming which abuts Rio Tinto’s claims and GTR’s own Great Divide Basin projects.

The company expects to provide an update on the acquisition in due course.
