Powerhouse Energy mulling joint venture with Hydrogen Utopia

It's all very early days and it's doubtful an announcement would have been made at all had there not been some speculation about a collaboration

Hydrogen Utopia International PLC (AQSE:HUI), a non-recyclable waste plastics to hydrogen technology firm, has confirmed speculation about a possible tie-up with Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE, ETR:BT81).

The two parties are in discussions over a project opportunity in the Republic of Ireland.

Hydrogen Utopia said it has been exploring the possibilities in the region since November 2021 and is searching for a joint venture partner to develop a first of a kind waste to hydrogen facility.

There is currently no agreement in place and the Powerhouse board is considering the proposal and how it may become involved in the potential project, which is at a very early stage.
