Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd’s subsidiary GAMEE has opened the Arc8 gaming platform and added play-to-earn utility for partner tokens in the from of Arc8 tournament rewards.
Partners may now provide tokens for prize pools of games in the Arc8 mobile application, to be used for in-game rewards and distributed amongst Arc8 players.
The first partner to take GAMEE up on the offer was QuickSwap – a decentralised Ethereum-based exchange that runs on the Polygon Network – which will reward winners of select Arc8 tournaments with QUICK tokens between May 12 and 15, 2022.
“Big moment for Arc8”
“Our vision with Arc8 is to build bridges between projects and games in the Web3 space through play-and-earn experiences,” GAMEE CEO Bozena Rezab said.
“The first steps are inviting partners and support partner tokens, followed by the support of multiple NFT collections.
“This is a big moment for Arc8 and we are thrilled to be working with QuickSwap to make this happen, and we look forward to helping many other projects to add play-and-earn utility to their tokens.”
Arc8 is GAMEE’s play-to-earn blockchain-based mobile gaming platform, available on both the App Store and Google Play.
The platform is host to 12 live games, including Asteroids in collaboration with Atari and Man City Striker in partnership with Manchester City FC.
GAMEE runs game tournaments through Arc8 that offer crypto rewards in the form of GAMEE tokens (GMEE), which are used to access Arc8’s games and tournaments, although some are free-to-play.
Animoca Brands says that opening Arc8 to partners and their tokens is another step in the evolution of the Arc8 gaming platform into the “arcadeverse”, a casual virtual gaming space that connects players, brands, and game creators.
