The Agritech4Morocco Innovation Challenge is an initiative organized by the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform and IMPACT Lab with the support of the World Bank in Morocco, the Trust Fund Digital Development Partnership, and in partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Pôle d'Agriculture Digitale (PAD Project) and GIZ, CO2 GRO noted.
The company added that it represents an opportunity to showcase its CO2 Delivery Solutions innovation “in front of an exclusive audience of leading investors, venture capitalists, public sector representatives, industry experts and agri-tech enthusiasts,” as stated by the Moroccan Selection Committee.
Toronto-based CO2 GRO’s advanced CO2 delivery solutions are aimed at increasing the growth of all indoor and outdoor value plants. The firm's solutions increase clients' plant yields in a safe, sustainable, and economic way.
The company’s technology creates a dissolved CO2 solution that when misted onto plants provides growers that cannot gas with CO2 the opportunity to increase plant yields by up to 30% and profits by up to 100%. Applying dissolved CO2 also suppresses the development of pathogens such as E.coli and powdery mildew, helping to reduce crop losses.
