Phunware Inc, the company behind a fully-integrated enterprise cloud platform for mobile that provides products, solutions, data and services for brands worldwide, reported first-quarter results and upped its revenue guidance for the future. The company posted net revenue of $6.8 million, including Multiscreen-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform revenues of $2.5 million and hardware revenues of $4.3 million. Adjusted EBITDA loss was $4.2 million, the company said.

Co-Diagnostics (NASDAQ:CODX) Inc has reported record 1Q revenue as the company says it plans to leverage its strong financial position to fund future growth initiatives. For the quarter ending March 31, 2022, the company reported revenue of $22.7 million, up from $20 million for the same quarter in 2021, which it attributed primarily to sales of its Logix Smart COVID-19 test. Profits reached $11.7 million, or $0.34 per share for the quarter, compared to $7.9 million, or $0.26 per share, for the same period last year.

Kidoz Inc, the mobile AdTech developer, announced it is reshuffling its management team under the leadership of a single CEO. The company said that Jason Williams will become the sole CEO. Williams previously shared the title with Eldad Ben Tora, who will now take on the president role. Ben Tora will also take responsibility for growth throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region as general manager.

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp said it has extracted a bulk sample from its Alces Lake discovery in northern Saskatchewan which it plans to ship off for beneficiation testing as part of its metallurgical collaboration with CanmetMINING. Appia said it will ship the sample to CanmetMINING in the next few days. The primary focus of the test program will be to optimize and enhance the development of an Alces Lake Project flowsheet and to confirm other material testing that has been previously conducted by other parties on the Alces Lake monazite.

Benchmark Metals Inc has told investors that it is rapidly progressing technical and permitting work to advance its flagship Lawyers Gold-Silver project, located in the prolific Golden Horseshoe of northern British Columbia. The Canadian company said it is “near completing” an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for delivery in May this year. In addition, considerable work has been completed to generate the company's maiden engineering and economic study. Moreover, the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) is anticipated in June this year and will focus on open-pitable resources derived from the updated MRE. In a corporate update, Benchmark said it has already completed over 18,000 metres (m) of drilling, a significant portion of which will be included in the updated MRE and PEA. In addition, a portion of the drilling has focused on geotechnical work towards infrastructure areas, noted the company.

Canada's leading provider of pharmacy services to senior living communities said it recorded revenue of C$93.2 million in the three months to March 31, 2022, from C$44.9 million a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA increased 111% to C$8.6 million from C$4.1 million as a result of the integration of the earnings of the acquired businesses of SmartMeds, Rexall LTC Pharmacy and the long-term care pharmacy business of Medical Pharmacies Group Limited (MPGL LTC Pharmacy). "The first quarter of 2022 once again saw strong year-over-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth, driven by both acquisitions and organic growth, and by continued outstanding execution by our team," CareRx president and CEO David Murphy said in a statement.

Skye Bioscience inc (OTCQB:SKYE) and Emerald Health Therapeutics Inc (CSE:EMH, OTCQX:EMHTF) said they have entered into a definitive agreement that will see Skye acquiring Emerald in a share-for-share transaction. Under the proposed plan of arrangement, Skye will issue Emerald shareholders 1.95 shares of its shares in exchange for each Emerald share, resulting in current Skye stockholders owning approximately 54% of its common stock and former shareholders of Emerald owning approximately 46%. All stock options and warrants of Emerald will be exchanged for replacement options and warrants of Skye on identical terms, it said. San-Diego-based Skye is developing proprietary, synthetic cannabinoid derivatives to treat glaucoma and other diseases with significant unmet needs. The company noted that Emerald possesses cash and non-cash assets that it would acquire through the arrangement.

Mandalay Resources Corp said it posted revenue of $54.2 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022, its second-highest since the Q2 2016. Quarterly adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were $31.3 million, also the second highest in its history, the company noted, adding that it was free of net debt during the quarter with $50.4 million of cash on hand and $45.7 million in total interest-bearing debt outstanding."Mandalay is pleased with our Q1 2022 financial results and particularly in reaching a net debt free position,” Dominic Duffy, the company's president and CEO said in a statement. “Reaching a net debt-free position has been one of the major goals of the company and it is a credit to the Mandalay team the degree to which the company has been turned around over the past three years.”

Jushi Holdings Inc has announced that it is expanding its retail footprint in California with the opening of its 32nd retail location nationally and third dispensary in the Golden State. The BEYOND / HELLO Grover Beach store, the fourth and final retail dispensary permitted in the city of Grover Beach, will officially open and start serving consumers and medical marijuana patients on May 13, 2022, the vertically integrated cannabis company said. “With an annual tourist population of approximately 2.2 million and many of the surrounding municipalities prohibiting retail cannabis dispensaries from operating, Grover Beach presents a key market opportunity for Jushi," said Jushi founder, chairman and CEO Jim Cacioppo in a statement.

AEX Gold Inc (AIM:AEXG, TSX-V:AEX) said it has acquired two exploration licences in South Greenland from Orano Group, for a zero upfront amount and a royalty on future production, as it sees a significant opportunity for the discovery of strategic minerals. The licence area increases AEX’s exposure to metals such as nickel, copper, zinc, lead, titanium, vanadium, graphite and rare earth minerals, as well as additional gold resources across the Nanortalik and Tartoq gold belts. The acquisition takes AEX's total land package in South Greenland to 7,615.85 square kilometres, making it the largest licence holder in South Greenland and the third-largest in Greenland.

Manganese X Energy Corp (TSX-V:MN, OTCQB:MNXXF) has announced positive results from an independent Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its wholly-owned Battery Hill project located near Woodstock in New Brunswick, Canada. The company said the PEA, prepared by independent engineering services group Wood Canada Ltd, points to a project with an after-tax net present value of $486 million, using a 10% discount rate (NPV10), and a 25% internal rate of return. “Our Battery Hill Mineral Resource has the potential to be the most impressive manganese properties in North America and has several attributes that make it attractive for development and commercialization,” CEO Martin Kepman said in a statement. “Battery Hill has robust economics, strong value metrics and a short payback period for a relatively low capital investment,” he added.

Albert Labs International Corp (CSE:ABRT) has announced that it is carrying out safety and toxicology studies in partnership with the University of CESPU Health Sciences Department in Portugal to lay the groundwork for its upcoming real world evidence studies slated to start later this year. The company said research would provide essential data on its mycelium-based pharmaceutical products in support of its upcoming clinical trials investigating the potential of its psilocybin-based product candidate KRN-101 to treat cancer-related distress. The pre-clinical studies are being led by toxicologist Ricardo Jorge Dinis-Oliveira to clarify the toxicological, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of Albert Labs' proprietary mycelium derived active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

Harbor Custom Development Inc has posted first-quarter results that saw its revenue jump 106% year-over-year on the back of sustained demand from buyers. For the period ended March 31, 2022, the Tacoma, Washington-based real estate developer reported consolidated net sales of $28.6 million, compared to $13.9 million in the corresponding period a year earlier. Harbor Custom attributed the increase to higher home sales of $5.5 million, entitled land sales of $4.5 million, fee build revenues of $2.7 million, and sales of developed lots of $2.1 million.

New Pacific Metals (TSX:NUAG, NYSE:NEWP) Corp, the Bolivia-focused explorer, has told investors that it ended its fiscal third quarter with US$34.7 million in working capital, sufficient to advance its Silver Sand and Carangas assets, along with other regional exploration. Reporting results for the three and nine months to March 31, 2022, the company said highlights of the third quarter included assay results of the 2021-2022 drill program at the Silver Sand project. It also noted that it reported assay results of 25 drill holes from the discovery drill program completed in 2021 at the Carangas silver-gold project. For the three months to March 31, 2022, the company posted a net loss of around US$1.41 million, narrower than a loss of US$1.7 million in the corresponding period of 2021. For the nine months to March 31, 2022, the net loss was US$4.08 million, compared to a net loss of US$4.59 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2020.

CULT Food Science Corp has highlighted the continuing advancement of technologies in cellular agriculture, saying it believes cell-based foods are a “viable solution” to combat growing fertilizer and food shortages. The company said it is supporting these technological advances by investing in the development of its own intellectual property and patent portfolios, as well as via cellular agriculture companies around the world that are working to help solve food insecurity concerns to populations at risk. Higher energy costs and global tensions, with Russia being the world’s biggest exporter of fertilizer, have driven up fertilizer prices to all-time highs, leading to higher food prices and potential food shortages, as COVID-19 related supply chain disruptions persist. Hapbee Technologies Inc (TSX-V:HAPB, OTCQB:HAPBF) has announced soaring growth in subscriber numbers for its Hapbee Neckband in the first three months of 2022, with retention rates also showing a marked improvement. The number of subscribers stood at 2,941 at the end of the first quarter of this year, a rise of 246% on Q1 2021. The company shipped 1,253 units in the first quarter, up 60% on the same period last year. Meanwhile, “significant” improvements in customers’ in-app experience boosted paid subscriber retention rates after six months to 65% in March compared with 22% in September last year, the company said. “The first quarter of 2021 saw Hapbee grow its subscriber base substantially year-over-year, while increasing customer retention and engagement,” said Yona Shtern, CEO of Hapbee in a statement.

Royal Fox Gold (TSX-V:FOXG) Inc has announced assay results for 13 drill holes from the 2022 campaign, as well as the remaining results for the 2021 diamond drilling campaign, on the Philibert gold deposit in Quebec, which included 2.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 6.1 metres (m) from the Corsac Fox Zone. The gold explorer said the northwestern section of the Corsac Fox Zone returned “significant” gold intersections near-surface and down-dip along a 280m strike from hole PB-22-332 to hole PB-22-343. ”We are very pleased with the results received to date which continue to validate the size and potential of the Philibert deposit, as we work towards our maiden NI 43-101 resource later this year,” Royal Fox Gold (TSX-V:FOXG) CEO Simon Marcotte said in a statement.

Fobi AI (TSX-V:FOBI, OTCQB:FOBIF) Inc has announced that it intends to acquire new intellectual property (IP) and assets related to the market-leading retail price comparison app and shopper intelligence platform Basket, which will allow the company to enter a new era of personalized marketing at scale. The company said in a statement that it has entered into an arm’s length letter of intent (LOI) with Virginia-based technology company Grocery Shopping Labs Inc through a wholly-owned subsidiary, which proposes the company acquire certain IP property and assets owned by the vendor related to Basket. Fobi said that it anticipated the synergies between Basket and Qples by Fobi Grocery Coupon Network and growth in the overall network would drive increased advertising revenue and higher average revenue per use with coupons and promotions.

Thesis Gold Inc (TSX-V:TAU) has told investors it is planning 50,000 metres (m) of drilling as part of the 2022 exploration activities at its flagship Ranch Gold Project in British Columbia, including expansion drilling at known occurrences, 2021 discovery areas, and exploration drilling following up on targets defined by 2021 surface work. The explorer said it also intends to complete extensive surface geochemical sampling, bedrock lithology and alteration mapping, and ground-based magnetics and induced-polarization (IP) geophysics. Western Magnesium Corporation has said that Sam Ataya, its executive president and CEO appeared on Fox Business this week to discuss the importance of domestic metal manufacturing and highlight magnesium's importance as a "super metal." During the televised interview on Making Money with Charles Payne, Payne referred to the current hazardous environmental practices of producing magnesium metal overseas and asked Ataya what specifically is changing manufacturing processes now.
