Future Metals CEO appointed to board as managing director

The appointment of Jardee Kininmonth "is a natural progression given his strong performance and leadership in the CEO role since joining Future Metals,” chairman Justin Tremain said.

Future Metals NL (ASX:FME, AIM:FME) has appointed CEO Jardee Kininmonth to the board as managing director effective May 11, 2022.

Kininmonth has been CEO of FME since January 31, 2022.

In a further executive change, the company will replace long-serving CFO Aaron Bertolatti with Tom O’Rourke, who will act as company secretary and chief financial officer.

Bertolatti will remain on the board as a non-executive director for a transitional period to ensure a smooth handover.

“Jardee’s appointment is a natural progression given his strong performance and leadership in the CEO role since joining Future Metals,” chairman Justin Tremain said.

“He has contributed significantly in transitioning the company towards becoming a project developer through clearly defining the strategy and building out the team as the company works towards delivering an updated JORC mineral resource estimate for the Panton PGM Project in the coming weeks.

“The board welcomes Jardee as managing director and looks forward to continuing our strong working relationship.

“The board thanks Aaron for his long period of service to the company and welcomes Tom to the company where he will work closely with the managing director and the board in the continued growth of the company.”

About Future Metals

FME is focused on advancing its Panton PGM Project in the eastern Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The project has a JORC mineral resource estimate of 14.32 million tonnes at 4.89 g/t PGM, 0.31 g/t gold and 0.27% nickel.

PGMs or Platinum Group Metals are a group of six precious metals being platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), iridium (Ir), osmium (Os), rhodium (Rh) and ruthenium (Ru). Exceptionally rare, they have similar physical and chemical properties and tend to occur, in varying proportions, together in the same geological deposit.

PGMs are used as auto-catalysts (pollution control devices for vehicles) but are also used in jewellery, electronics, hydrogen production/purification and in hydrogen fuel cells. The unique properties of PGMs help convert harmful exhaust pollutant emissions to harmless compounds, improving air quality and thereby enhancing health and wellbeing.
