Power REIT, the specialized real estate investment trust (REIT), has reported a 9% increase in first-quarter revenue as its property portfolio continues to show growth. Revenue for the three months to March 31, 2022, increased to $1.99 million from $1.82 million in 1Q 2021. Core funds from operations (FFO) available to common shareholders rose 5.8% to $1.35 million but core FFO per share declined 10% to $0.40. Excluding one-time items and other adjustments, it said they would have been unchanged at $0.46. "As our investment platform continues to evolve, we remain focused on sustainable farming solutions by investing in Controlled Environment Agriculture properties in the form of greenhouses,” CEO David Lesser said in a statement. “Our legacy is in other sustainable real estate assets and we continue to embrace that ethos.”

Gevo Inc climbed after analysts at Noble Capital repeated an “Outperform” rating and $16 price target on its shares, hailing the company's first-quarter results that “met expectations.” In a note to clients, the analysts said that beyond the company's financial performance during the quarter, the “real story” is “plant progression.” “Projects are moving forward. In January, Gevo announced it had begun the process of bringing its dairy manure-based project online in order to apply for credits,” said the analysts at Noble Capital. “The credits could contribute $16-$20 million annually, and management is prepared for timing issues between production and receipt of credits.” Gevo shares traded 5.8% higher at $3.26 in morning trade on the tech-dominated Nasdaq.

Paltalk Inc announced that it has ended its first quarter of 2022 with a cash balance of $20.4 million as of March 31, as the company said it has begun a plan to increase marketing spend and product development to target subscribers and advertising growth. The communications software provider also noted that its advertising revenue rose 5% to $0.1 million during the period even as its subscription revenue slipped 9% to $2.8 million. “While we are disappointed with the decline in subscription revenue, we attribute this decrease primarily to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in certain of our target markets,” Paltalk CEO Jason Katz said in a statement.

Vuzix Corporation, an augmented reality technology company, projects adoption of its smart glasses to accelerate in the coming months despite supply chain issues and geopolitical uncertainties impacting its first quarter, the company announced. The firm's outlook for 2022 remains "quite positive" despite continuing and challenging supply chain, geopolitical, and economic uncertainties, according to CEO Paul Travers. “Adoption of smart glasses over the course of the year is expected to again accelerate with existing customer repeat orders and in some cases we anticipate significant new opportunities from new programs," Travers said in a statement.

Outlook Therapeutics Inc has said its chief operations officer Terry Dagnon will discuss the company’s wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) drug Lytenava as part of a panel at the 2022 World Retina Conference later this month. The conference is taking place from May 12-15, 2022, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dagnon’s segment is part of a session called Retina Unplugged and scheduled for 8.05am ET on May 12. The company said Dagnon will review Outlook's’ Lytenava (ONS-5010 or bevacizumab-vikg), an investigational ophthalmic formulation of bevacizumab currently under development to be administered as an intravitreal (read: into the back of the eye) injection for the treatment of wet AMD and other retinal diseases.

SPYR Inc, doing business as SPYR Technologies, has announced that its Applied Magix Inc subsidiary is considering developing HomeKit Secure Routers while it investigates reselling OEM (original equipment manufacturer) HomeKit Secure Router products. The Texas-based technology company said having a router provide a secure foundation is necessary for anyone setting up a HomeKit-based environment. “Apple has provided the specs for HomeKit Secure Routers to allow smart homeowners to further secure their smart home environment," Applied Magix CEO Harald Zink said in a statement. "We are currently evaluating various router products to use as the foundation for our own branded HomeKit Secure Router, but are also considering reselling best-of-breed OEM products until then."

Platinex Inc announced that its wholly-owned Endurance Elements Inc subsidiary has acquired additional mining claims adjacent to its W2 copper-nickel- platinum-group elements (PGE) project in northern Ontario’s Ring of Fire district. The mineral exploration and development company said the new claims, combined with the existing claims, cover an 8-to-10 kilometre long, northeast-trending magnetic high and include the area of a titanium-vanadium (Ti-V) discovery made by Aurora Platinum Corporation in 2001.

Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc has said that Great Pacific Media (GPM), its factual division, has entered into an exclusive, multi-year strategic partnership with Sean Connolly's newly launched Original Content Lab (OCL), which is focused on developing unscripted primetime and kids series for the global market, that GPM will produce. "Sean has an exceptional expertise and background in the key genres audiences are hungry for - formats, competition, docudrama and kids," GPM president David Way said in a statement. Stifel GMP said it expects 2022 to be a transition year for Pure Gold Mining Inc (TSX-V:PGM, LSE:PUR, OTC:LRTNF) as its Red Lake, Ontario mine ramps up and proves its production and cash-generating potential. In a note following news of the Toronto-based company's $30 million private placement announcement, Stifel analysts wrote that the additional financing would provide the company an opportunity to prove up the potential of its Ontario mine. Pure Gold’s pending C$30 million private placement includes an upsize opportunity to C$40 million pending demand and is expected to close on or about May 13, 2022.

The new Argus zone discovery at the Munro-Croesus project adds an attractive, new target for HighGold Mining Inc in Ontario, according to broker Stifel GMP, which repeated a 'Buy' on the shares. On May 9, the gold explorer reported that first pass drilling at the new zone on the western side of the project had hit wide intervals of gold mineralization in the first two holes. Highlights included 136 metres (m) at 0.54 grams per ton (g/t) gold, starting at a depth of 70m in one and 37.4m at 0.27 g/t gold starting at 2m depth in another.

I-80 Gold Corp. is trading at an “attractive valuation” following its acquisition of 1,280 acres of strategic land sections adjoining its Granite Creek Property from Nevada Gold Mines LLC, according to a Stifel GMP analyst note released Monday. “The strategic acquisition gives the company significant exposure to potential upside both to the north and south of their current property and allows i-80 to connect the dots along trend,” Stifel wrote. The firm maintained its Buy rating and C$6.20 price target for the company.

Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE-A:GORO, ETR:GIH) said it ended March 2022 with working capital of $32.4 million, $3.1 million higher than at the end of December 2021, as it benefitted from higher base metals prices and the timing of shipments. Reporting results for the quarter to March 31, 2022, the Denver-based metals producer and explorer said it sold a total of 8,381 ounces of gold and 265,407 ounces of silver for a gold equivalent total of 11,729 ounces. Additionally, it sold 4,359 tonnes of zinc, 408 tonnes of copper, and 1,639 tonnes of lead. "Our operations delivered excellent results during the first quarter of 2022,” GRC president and CEO Allen Palmiere said in a statement. “Quarter over quarter processing costs per tonne held steady despite a hyperinflationary environment. Likewise, we reinvested $7.1 million into exploration and infrastructure improvements at the Don David Gold Mine during the quarter.”

Trust Stamp (NASDAQ:IDAI, EURONEXT:AIID) Inc said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rwanda’s African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), outlining a mutual desire for institutional cooperation to focus on education and research aimed at further equity and inclusion for individuals of all races and ethnologies through advancements in biometrics and identity authentication. Under the MoU, Trust Stamp and AIMS will identify and address systemic inequities resulting from race and ethnicity-based discrepancies in the performance of biometric systems, the company said. Doré Copper Mining Corp's aim to become a significant copper producer in Quebec has moved a step closer as the firm unveiled a positive preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for a restart at the Chibougamau mining camp. The study envisages a so-called 'hub-and-spoke' operation with the Corner Bay copper-gold deposit acting as the main mine, while the Devlin copper deposit and former Joe Mann gold mine will provide feed to a central mill. Using base case prices of US$3.75 per pound of copper and US$1,820 per ounce of gold, the 10.5-year project would generate 492 million pounds (Mlbs) of copper, 142,000 ounces of gold, and have a pre-tax net present value (NPV) of C$367 million and 30.7% internal rate of return (IRR)

Plurilock Security Inc has said its wholly-owned subsidiary Aurora Systems Consulting Inc received purchase orders totaling US$1.41 million from several organizations in April this year. All but one of the orders are part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Solution for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) program, a US Government-Wide Acquisition Contract vehicle (GWAC), Plurilock noted. The April orders bring the combined value of contracts and orders announced by Plurilock and its subsidiaries since the start of 2022 to around US$6.7 million. “This series of orders highlights Plurilock’s role as a leader in the cybersecurity and IT space and demonstrates the company’s work in achieving our stated goal of securing contracts across key industry verticals, including military defense and financial services,” Ian L Paterson, CEO of Plurilock said in a statement.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc said it recently completed a drone magnetic geophysical survey and has entered Phase 1 of its 2022 exploration plan for the Eby-Otto gold property near the town of Kirkland Lake in Ontario. The company said the first phase will consist of an initial site assessment to determine the logistics of future operations and will give it time to receive any pending surface exploration work permits that will be necessary. Surveying will be completed for key Standard Iron Bars (SIB), legacy claim posts, and access points to refresh select existing cut line grids. "Our geological team is excited to get boots on the ground at Eby-Otto,” the company’s president Matthew Halliday said in a statement. "It is a very promising land package close to a producing mine with outcropping mineralized veins already identified.”

FSD Pharma (CSE:HUGE, NASDAQ:HUGE) Inc announced that it has closed the sale of its former cannabis processing facility in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada for gross proceeds of $16.4 million in cash. The facility became non-essential to FSD Pharma after it decided in early 2020 to exit the cannabis production market to focus on the biotech market, advancing novel drug candidates targeting lucrative areas of unmet medical needs like Muscular Sclerosis, Depression Disorders, and Inflammatory Disorders. "This is a major accomplishment and puts us in a good position going forward especially considering the current state of the capital markets. While most companies have taken huge write-downs on dispositions of cannabis-related assets, we were able to net significant profit from selling the facility," Anthony Durkacz, interim CEO and co-executive chairman of FSD Pharma said in a statement.

Golden Minerals Company has reported a big increase in first-quarter revenue as its Rodeo gold-silver mine in Mexico’s Durango State produced 3,787 gold-equivalent ounces. In the three months to March 31, 2022, revenue of $7.5 million yielded a net operating margin of $3.2 million versus $1.8 million revenue and a net operating margin of $200,000 in the first quarter 2021, the Colorado-based company said. The miner generated 3,608 ounces of payable gold and 13,944 ounces of silver, with total cash costs, net of silver by-product credits, per payable ounce of gold of $1,164.

Therma Bright Inc (TSX-V:THRM, OTC:TBRIF) has said it will submit an application to Health Canada for a review of its AcuVid COVID-19 rapid antigen test for detecting the SARS CoV-2 virus in saliva, adding that it is also looking at other international regulatory jurisdictions. It follows the company’s application under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) guidelines to the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for a review of the AcuVid test on March 29, 2022. The company said the application to Health Canada, which will be made under the Interim Order issued by Health Canada, is substantially equivalent to the one made to the US regulator and uses the test performance data from the US and Brazilian clinical studies and the product manufacturing data provided to the FDA.

i-80 Gold Corp. said it has acquired a strategic property package in Lander County, Nevada, including 582 acre-feet of water rights, from Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations LLC. The water rights are key for the development, operation and eventual closure of i-80 Gold’s Cove open pit mine, marking a major milestone for executing its Cove project dewatering strategy. The package also includes a rail heading on the Nevada Central Railway, several advanced-stage barite deposits, full barite processing infrastructure and known gold mineralized zones, according to a statement. Under the terms of the deal, i-80 will own a 100% interest in the property and the associated infrastructure. Meanwhile, i-80 Gold reported first-quarter results after the bell Monday, posting revenue of $2.8 million, and an operating loss of $13.8 million. Production and sales from Ruby Hill and Lone Tree totaled 1,489 ounces for the period at cash costs per ounce sold of $1,019 and all-in sustaining cost per ounce sold of $1,249, the company said.

HealthLynked Corp has announced that an enhanced version of its female technology (FemTech) app Oohvie is now available to all users as the company positions itself to capitalize on growth trends in the FemTech industry. The company said the newly released version of its women’s health and wellbeing app allows users to live chat with a nurse to answer their medical questions and order feminine products at low cost which are sent directly to their homes. The app already allowed users to track their menstrual cycle moods, symptoms, weight, activities and other factors specific to women’s health.

Ultra Lithium Inc revealed that it has successfully closed the sale of a 60% interest in the company’s Georgia Lake and Forgan Lake properties in northern Ontario to Yahua International Investment and Development Company Limited as a follow-up to the sale and joint venture (JV) agreement first announced on April 20 this year. Under the agreement, Ultra Lithium received payments totaling $5 million from Yahua for a 60% interest in the company’s subsidiary which holds the northern Ontario properties. The Vancouver-based exploration and development company also said the JV, with Yahua holding a 60% and Ultra Lithium holding a 40% interest, has been formed. In a statement, Ultra Lithium CEO Dr Weiguo Lang said: “We are very excited about this agreement which will not only provide financial strength to the company but also will bring opportunities for the northwestern Ontario lithium exploration projects.”

BTU Metals Corp said it has completed drilling of four holes, totalling 1,299 metres, in an area immediately south of the Kinross Dixie-BTU border and adjacent to Dixie Creek at its Dixie Halo project in Ontario’s Red Lake mining district. The gold exploration company said the holes are targeting an interpreted structure, which forms a series of breaks in geophysical features extending toward the 'LP-fault' and following the trend of Dixie Creek. "The most recent holes drilled adjacent to Dixie Creek continue to provide further geological data in a completely overburden covered area,” the company’s CEO Paul Wood said in a statement. “We know that splays off of gold-bearing fault structures in greenstone belts can contain significant gold deposits.”

ION Energy Limited has reported a significant new brine discovery at its Urgakh Naran lithium project in Mongolia. The brine sample, which was collected at surface from a shallow pool, assayed 918 mg/L lithium – the highest-grade lithium brine known to have been collected in Mongolia, according to Toronto-based ION. In a statement, ION Energy CEO Ali Haji said: "These exceptional early results are extremely exciting for all stakeholders, they reinforce the company view that high quality lithium brines could be discovered at the Urgakh Naran lithium project."

Vox Royalty Corp said it is looking forward to seeing revenues next year from its royalty on the Otto Bore open-pit gold project now that operator Northern Star has started mining activities. In an update of new developments across Vox’s royalty portfolio, the company said that Pre-stripping and open pit mining preparation commencement at Otto Bore, where Vox holds a 2.5% net smelter return royalty. The Western Australia-located project was fast-tracked by Northern Star ahead of Vox management expectations and is now expected to generate attractive revenues for Vox shareholders in 2023, the company told investors.

Lucky Minerals Inc said trenching at the Wayka epithermal gold discovery at its Fortuna property in southern Ecuador has identified additional mineralization ahead of the company’s upcoming drill program at the site. The company said wall zone trenching had identified additional altered mineralized structures that would be tested in upcoming drilling, slated to begin in June. Trenching in the wall zone in weakly altered meta granites returned anomalous gold, while trenching in the Kelly zone returned an average of 1.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 10 metres (m) and also identified anomalous altered structures.

Fireweed Zinc Ltd has announced the acquisition of the Gayna River zinc project located in Canada’s Northwest Territories by staking 128.8 square kilometres of mineral claims, The mineral exploration company said the Gayna River project contains the critical metals zinc, gallium, and germanium in addition to lead and silver. “While our focus remains on our flagship Macmillan Pass project, we are keen to explore Gayna River, where we see the potential for high-grade massive sulphide mineralization,” Fireweed Zinc CEO Brandon Macdonald said in a statement.

Planet 13 Holdings Inc (CSE:PLTH, OTCQX:PLNHF) has announced the second location of its planned Florida dispensary network located in the city of Port Richey, a prominent suburb in the rapid-growth Tampa - St. Petersburg - Clearwater region. Western Magnesium Corp has said recent research into the global magnesium market had reinforced its view that now was the time to return production of the commodity to North America - for economic and national security reasons. The firm aims to be a low-cost producer of green, primary magnesium metal and is expected to start production from a commercial plant in Ohio by the end of this month. Analysts reckon the global market for magnesium will grow by nearly 50% by 2028, said the firm, while reports, including from Acumen Research and Consulting, predict the US$4.3 billion global market will be worth US$6.4 billion by the end of the decade thanks to surging post-COVID-19 demand from auto, aerospace, and electronics industries. "Over twenty years ago, North America gave up on its share of producing magnesium metal and ceded the market to China," said Western Magnesium's CEO Sam Ataya in a statement.

Tocvan Ventures Corp said it has closed its previously announced non-brokered private placement of units for gross proceeds of $346,200. The proceeds of the offering will go toward the advancement of the Pilar and El Picacho gold-silver projects in Sonora, Mexico. The offering consisted of the issuance of an aggregate of 432,750 units at a price of 80 cents per unit. Each unit consists of one common share in the capital of the company and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share at a price of $1.40, for a period of 24 months from the closing of the offering.

Clean Air Metals Inc (TSX-V:AIR, OTCQB:CLRMF) has announced the appointment of senior mining engineer Mike Garbutt as chief operating officer of the company with immediate effect. Garbutt is well experienced in mine operations, having held senior leadership roles, with the most recent being the deputy general manager of a major mine in northern Ontario, the company noted. “Mike is capable of leading that process and ultimately, construction of a successful mine development at Thunder Bay North.
