Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) has defined large zones of disseminated sulphides through an offset pole-dipole induced polarisation (3D-IP) survey at Mulga Bill, a prospect at Side Well Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company has established a positive connection between gold mineralisation and pyrite (sulphides) at Mulga Bill, meaning these IP results – coupled with a correlating gravity anomaly discovered last year – indicate high priority gold targets.
Phase 6 of reverse circulation (RC) drilling on the project is progressing well and GBR has opted to extend this program to include targets generated over the chargeable sulphide bodies discovered in this latest round of geophysical surveying.

“By completing the 3D-IP survey we now have a three-dimensional model of chargeable sulphide along the central area of Mulga Bill that we will start testing with RC drilling,” Great Boulder Resources managing director Andrew Paterson said.
“The chargeable surface shown in Figure 1 of this announcement represents areas of approximately 1 to 2% sulphide in the rock mass.”
“This is a very large target volume, adding to our confidence in the scale of the Mulga Bill system,” Paterson continued.
“The significance of the sulphide target is that we’ve already identified a relationship between pyrite and gold mineralisation, so any areas where sulphides have been identified are a priority exploration target for gold.”
After the RC drilling is complete, GBR expects to resume aircore drilling in mid-to-late May, with diamond drilling results expected in May or June.
