Deepspatial Inc has announced the successful deployment and client validation of its artificial intelligence (AI) platform for the government sector in education after a pilot program in India demonstrated the technology’s ability to provide actionable insights for policy and decision makers.
The company said the revenue-producing project, encompassing more than 100 schools in the state of Meghalaya, India, involved using its patent-pending AI algorithms to analyze factors affecting secondary and higher secondary students in a district of the state.
The quality of education differs significantly between states and regions in India due to demographics, environment, accessibility, and healthcare, among other factors, which need to be considered when implementing policy decisions affecting education.

“As a result of the unequal access and other factors, the passing rates of many secondary and higher secondary schools in remote-like districts were decreasing dramatically,” the company said.
Deepspatial said its platform has helped policy and decision makers of the state understand the specific issues contributing to the decline of the passing rate of the state’s students and provided actionable insights for decision-making to impact change.
Meghalaya Deputy SPA, SSA Dr Andrew Warjri said the results from the study had been eye-opening and that the platform developed was very impressive.
“Deepspatial has been very supportive and have put their best resources and technology to help with the department’s efforts in identifying and improving various aspects of education,” Warjri said in a statement.

Deepspatial CEO Rahul Kushwah said the project established the company as the first to bring geospatial AI solutions to the education sector.
