Rightmove PLC (LSE:RMV) said chief executive Peter Brooks-Johnson will be stepping down from the board after 16 years with the company.
Brooks-Johnson will continue as chief executive until the release of the online real estate company’s full-year results in February 2023.
Rightmove said it will start the process to identify a successor. In a statement, it said Brooks-Johnson “will assist with the recruitment of his replacement and a smooth and orderly handover during that period”.
The London-listed company added that it continues to make “good progress” in its trading and the implementation of its strategy, with expectations for the year unchanged.
“With Rightmove progressing well on its mission to make home moving easier and our strong trading from 2021 continuing into 2022, I have decided it is an appropriate time to seek a new challenge,” said Brooks-Johnson.
“I continue to be hugely enthusiastic about the company and the opportunities we see ahead. I have no doubt that Rightmove will continue to deliver for home hunters, customers and shareholders for many years to come."
