Revolution Beauty sales shine in full-year results

Its record final quarter was aided by retailer expansions in Boots, Walgreens and the rest of the world

Revolution Beauty Group PLC reported a record fourth quarter in its full-year results as sales in all geographic areas rose on a "strong" recovery from the pandemic.

In a trading update, the global mass beauty innovator reported revenue up 42% to £194mln for the 12 months ended February 2022, compared with the previous year.

Its record final quarter was aided by retailer expansions in Boots, Walgreens and the rest of the world, as its second half experienced continued positive momentum.

Its digital platforms generated approximately 29% of its sales, with the rest coming from retail stores.

“The group delivered a strong full-year performance, in line with expectations, and driven by the strength of our omnichannel route to market,” Adam Minto, chief executive, commented.

In the UK, its sales surged 85% year-on-year, while the US, which now makes up 20% of its business and is its biggest market, delivered revenue growth of 27%.

The rest of the world (ROW) bounced back, with sales up 79%. ROW accounts for 35% of its global business, the company added.
