Casa Minerals Inc (TSX-V:CASA, OTC:CASXF) said it is getting set to drill at least 10,000 metres at the Congress gold property in Arizona.
The firm said it had awarded a diamond drilling contract to Godbe Drilling LLC of Colorado to complete the program.
Congress is a historic high-grade gold producing mine that has not been explored or produced since 1992, Casa Minerals told investors.

Drilling will focus on the western extent of the Congress and Niagara veins of the Congress Gold property, the company said, and may exceed the initial contract meterage.
Casa said its exploration team has compiled historic property data, and fieldwork has identified and mapped vein systems and other areas of potential resources that will be explored as part of the initial drill program.
The firm is hoping to gather new information in the area of historically reported gold occurrences, confirm reported historic drill results, and provide hard data in places where previous mine operators outlined production stopes that were never developed, it told shareholders.
"We are pleased that Casa has been able to acquire the historic Congress gold mine and are excited with the prospect of reactivating one of Arizona's most significant historic gold mines,” CEO Farshad Shirvani said in a statement.
Vancouver-based Casa is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties located in Canada and the US.
