ECR Minerals PLC (AIM:ECR) said drilling at the HR3 prospect identified further high-grade gold at the upper part of the Maori Anticline in its Bailieston project in Victoria, Australia.
Drillhole BH3DD022 intercepted the Maori Reef at a depth of 49.5 metres (m), which included 0.5m at 12.74 grammes a tonne (g/t) gold. The intercept was supported by lower grades either side, making a total foot-wall to hanging-wall intersection of 3.5m at 2.93 g/t gold.
ECR said the Maori Reef system remains open and untested to the south east of the hole.
In April, London-listed ECR said drilling at HR3 had hit the highest grade gold yet - 52.5 g/t gold - below the Hard-Up reef.
