Bango PLC (AIM:BGO, OTCQX:BGOPF) announced an agreement with McAfee Inc, the company that creates software for online protection, to expand McAfee's resale channels.
Under the deal, McAfee will use Bango e-distribution technology to grow its user base through partnerships with service providers, who will bundle and resell McAfee subscriptions.
Service providers include companies in the telecommunications, bank, health care, insurance and retail sectors, Bango said in a statement.
It said its technology can launch products to the market quicker through partnerships and promotions, which removes the complexity of launching across different channels.
Bango added that its technology enables resellers to order and deliver products to demand, as well as offering targeting, authorisation and moving customers onto the latest updates on behalf of the service providers.
Resellers can also bundle together McAfee products with their own on the Bango Platform, the statement added, such as offering the software alongside the hardware, for example.
"Bango technology is chosen by the industry leaders to present product offers and bundles that excite and delight their customers," said Jim Plimmer, senior vice president of payment product strategy and sales at Bango.
