McColl's Retail dives again on delay to publication of annual report

The company thinks it will be unable to publish its results by the end of May as a result of which its listing on the LSE will be temporarily suspended on 1 June

McColl's Retail Group PLC (LSE:MCLS) has signalled another delay to the publication of its annual accounts as it remains in refinancing talks with key stakeholders.

As these discussions remain ongoing, the board has concluded there is now insufficient time in order to meet the current deadline for filing its results by the stock exchange deadline, which will result in trading in the company’s shares being suspended from 1 June.

Shares in McColl’s fell 5.6% to 0.65p in early deals; as recently as mid-November 2021 they were trading at around 20p.
