i(x) Net Zero PLC has appointed Dmitri Tsvetkov as finance director, bringing his knowledge of working with publicly listed energy companies as part of his 27 years of financial, accounting and operational experience.
The investing company, which focuses on energy transition and sustainability, said Tsvetkov will start work on 1 June after joining from AIM-listed OPG Power Ventures PLC, where he was chief financial officer and sat on the board.
Steve Oyer, chief executive of i(x), said: "I am delighted to welcome Dmitri to i(x). He brings with him more than two decades of financial and managerial experience in publicly listed companies and will be a significant addition to our finance team."
It was noted that Tsvetkov is a member of OPG's environmental, social and governance (ESG) committee and part of the leadership team developing its energy transition strategy and its first standalone ESG report.
Prior to OPG, he was CFO at privately owned Canadian oil & gas company Advance International Exploration, and interim CEO and CFO at TSX-listed Mart Resources.
He is also a non-executive director of Mercantile Ports and Logistics Ltd (LSE:MPL, LSE:) and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
